Overseeding with secret spot or no plow will not hurt, right?

Just useing Secret Spot or No Plow.  Just putting more seed than recommended into the soil.  This ok?

if you are sure that the original seed won't come up, then overseed. so if you think you got 50% germination, only overseed w/ 50% of recommended amount. if you are not sure and overseed you risk crowding and stunted plants

remember, seed companies make money by selling seed. they are not going to tell you to put less down than you are supposed to.

good luck

I would definatly drag it. I have planted many a plot like that. One tip I would give you is after you drag the harrow over your seed be sure to pack it down. I do this by running my atv back and forth. This helps make good seed to soil contact and also helps hold in moisture.

Thank you all for your help.  Down here in CT we haven't gotten much rain at all and that is not good.  I appreciate everyone's input as I check this site on a daily basis.
