I need to buy about 3 new cams. I've been looking at the cams that are less than $100. I came across the Hunten 3 mp infared that operates on either 6 c batteries or a 6v rechargeable. I found it for $67 ea. I read reviews on trailcams.com and chasing game. They get good reviews. Does anyone here have one or know any pros and cons about them?

battery life isn't that good about 2 weeks max  picture quality isn't that great either  If it was me I would buy a couple of the Moultrie M-80 xt's a lot better battery life and much better quality.
tank of gas: $50
hunting licence: $190
ammo: $20
getting to spend time with family and hunting buddies: priceless

keep an eye on the moultrie site. they have been selling 2 packs of cams for very cheap. $60-80 each which is 1/2 price.

check primos and bushnell also. they both have great customer service and also have sales

good luck

Russcat I am fond of the Moultrie M-80x but I do like the Primos Truth 35's I picked up on clearance for $59 each last year (Great Battery life)
I keep watching Wingsupply.com daily but so far the past couple months no mass purchase of Camera's at a good price...
The Cheapest they have in stock is Moultrie Game Spy LX30IR 5MP Infrared Digital Scouting Camera $69 but I don't know anything about that camera. the other is Primos TRUTH Cam 35 Infrared Digital Game Camera $84.99 about $25.00 more then what I paid for them.

I have a Hunten Camera.  got it for Christmas one year.  I think my daughter paid something like $45. on sale. .  I thought battery life was pretty good.  I think that I only changed the batteries 4 times in one year.  I brought the camera in just around Christmas time last year to put new batteries, and the display started fading in and out.  I contacted Hunten and they told me to send the camera in.  The gal said they probably send me a new one.  I haven't gotten around to mailing it.  Picture quality wasn't the greatest, but at least it let me see some of the animals roaming around my backyard at night.  The motion detecting shutter was pretty good.  It would pick up shadows, limb movement (if windy out).

Thanks for the input y'all. I'm still looking and reading reviews. I think I'll be passing on the Hunten.

After reading trailcam reviews till I'm cross-eyed, I have made a decision. I just ordered a 2 pack of the Moultrie Gamespy I-40XT. Moultries site has them on sale 2 for $199. Reviews are good enough. For $100 each I couldn't find another one with the tested and proven functions and performance of the I-40XT. Battery life is great and trigger speed less than 2 seconds which is about as good as it gets for Moultrie, especially for a $100 cam. After I have a chance to actually use them I'll let y'all know how they do.

Btw, if anyone buys from the Moultrie site I found a coupon code for Moultrie on another site and it worked. I saved over $14 on shipping. The code is FREESHIPPING 27.

I had an I-40 and it was great, Russ.  Not the XT, but a very good cam.    Long battery life.

That's one of the main things I was looking for Jimmy. My old D-50s take good pics but 6 D cells every 45 days X 2 gets expensive.
