What animal is most likely to kill you?
« on: May 18, 2012, 02:34:29 PM »
I just saw on United Stats Of America that you have a 1 in 11,000,000 chance of dying from snake bite and a 1 in 28,000 chance of getting killed by a deer in an auto collision!  It also said that commercial fishing is the most dangerous job and logging is right up there too. You have a 1 in 88 chance of getting killed in a auto accident! So, it looks like the thing we think is most safe is the most dangerous.

Suprising facts.   If I can find a list I used to have it shows the most dangerous "animals" domesticated and wild in the US....hard to believe where some of them rank....will start looking.......

Bubba - Wonder how many accidents/deaths are from trying to avoid hitting a deer?

I have heard or read somewhere the the sport of hunting is within the top 10 safest sports/activities you can do.

Thanks for the info....

I wonder how many peoply try to hit the deer on purpose, but, end up hitting a tree or going into a ditch, then to cover their stupidity, say they were trying to avoid hitting the deer?

From today's experience I'll say bees...Went to get party salad fixings...driving along on ay home windows up air on....and my shoulders start to burn...so I'm vigorously rubbing my back against the car seat...then the pain explodes and I'm pulling off the road grinding the car gears trying shifting while still moving and if it weren't for seat belt I would have jumped out in front of a car....I do not know were or how many but bee/bees managed to get down the back of my shirt and went to town...as I was nearly stripping my shirt off along the road they either fell or flew out...I got home and had Mr B look at my back...."Oh My God" was what came out of his mouth...yep from the nap of my neck all over my back to the top of my jeans....I'm tired and going for a nap now.... @--0--0128

Oh my that is horrible  @--0--0128 please take care.  At church camp one year a bee landed on one of my moon pies I was eating and stung me IN my mouth. That was bad, spent the day in bed from one bee. I dont think I could handle several stings all down my back.

Ye-ow ...that's a sensitive place to be stung...glad your OK...thanks I was seriously tired for a long while and my back is still sore but I'm doing fine now....and so very glad I had my seat belt on for I would have been hit by that car...I was surprised they never stopped but I must have looked like a real Nutter...hopping around in the middle of the road practically stripping my shirt off...I'd also grabbed my brush on the way out and was contorting to get the brush on my back to swipe off the offenders.....made me think of the "Nothing to loose" movie

I was driving along so happy...singing to the radio...I'd gotten Gas for 3.19 a gal and had filled the tank...one of few times I was glad to be almost empty....lol
