Great Ga Turkey Season
« on: May 07, 2012, 08:38:04 PM »
Even though the Ga season is open til 15May, my season ended last Saturday as I have plans for this weekend.  This has been the greatest Turkey Season of my Life!!  I was invited to hunt on a friends farm in N. GA and not only saw a lot of Turkeys, I was lucky enough to take about a 20# Gobbler with a 10.5in Beard and 1in spurs.  What a rush!!  Last weekend was the most fun of all.  Had a hen come to my decoy and inspect it.  Later 6 Turkeys which included 2 Gobblers came in and I was able to take my second turkey.  It was somewhat younger than the first but of good size.  It weighed about 10-15lbs.

This has been the season to remember!  I only wish my 2 grandsons were old enough to experience this season.

Can't wait til next year.  Hope you all have been as lucky as I have been this year! -0078

Congrats on an eventful and successful season!  Mine started today, and it was wet!  Didn't see or hear any turkeys at all.  Hopefully that will change tomorrow.
