Another siteless deer day for me but I had a lot of fun....My partner saw 2 but couldnt get a shot off before the snow storm set in...it was leaves then 15 minutes later all white ;D    I did see a deer driving to the hunting area but nothing but a weasel in the woods...better luck again there were absolutely no Hunters today...the wind was horrendous and the storm set in...I still had memories of younger years with my dad and hunting in these storms --7-8-9.... a pic

Went out hunting yesterday and today....saw nothing...we believe the deer have moved out down to the swamps but I'll continue trying ;D     I did see about 10,000 Canadas flying around and about a 1,000 snows, which are not as common around here but we see them once in a while.....the coyote is stiill lying there and nothing has snacked on it yet...my brother in laws neighbor had a 6 point hanging from aways away down near the big swamp...but we were the only ones on the hill in this frosty weather....about 25 and holding this a.m.   better luck this week I hope, it has been my worse year hunting and I guess you have to have one of these once in awhile :'(

Stick to it DPD...The nice thing about hunting is that you're worst season can turn into your BEST season all in a matter of 10 seconds! Keep the faith, hunt hard, and hunt safe...It'll happen!  Good Luck!

Another Day yesterday and another disappointing day...saw nothing again...I really believe the deer have moved to another location even though we find sign where were at...was going out today but it was poring when I arose so we are going to continue with Muzzleloading come Monday, I probably wont get out till later in the week but I'm ready ;D  ...... was hoping for snow but the long range forecast calls for no snow till after the season ends....I'll wait for some frosty days a coming....wish me luck.....DPD

went out again today, by myself, and found nothing...sat for a short while then took a sneak walk ;D it was perfect for a noiseless walk around the whole hill ... took me 3 hours and travelled where we jumped them before and down in swamp and all over and found nothing...I am a die hard so friday is the next time and saturday and if I have to the last day tuesday....no snow in the forecast highs in the 30's and 40's lows in the high 20's ... mud heaven but I always have a friend with me...MMC continues to encourage me ;D

changed tactics but still got the same results...saw no deer but saw some great deer country..I am going to try the last day of the season tuesday......I love the smokepole but the weather has not been good for our hunting...have hunted in the mud and no snow and not really cold...below freezing at the beginning but climbs above everyday...try once more @--0--0118
