Ill shoot em out to 60.... 62 is my longest but would rather have them crack the 40 yard mark before killing time

I got a Charles and Dailey semi out 12 ga. At 52 yards im pushing it but i have shot one at that distance and there was only one bb that hit him lucky shot. Im comfortable at 30 to 40 yards i got a great pattern at 30 but i will shot any where from 30 to 50 all depends on how comfortable i am with the shot. My uncle SChunter uses a bow and i got the shotgun so if he misses its my turn.

I use a Mossberg 695 with a Rhino choke and 3in Nitro shells 5x6x7 hevi shot-- My best is 45 yards but I like them inside 40.

My 12 ga 870 Express with a Hastings choke (.655") and 3" Winchesters loaded with 2 oz of copper plated 4's will reach out to 40 yds with no problems.  That's the longest shot I have taken.

No more than 40 yds. if I have a good, clear shot.    I like very dense patterns for a quick, clean kill.      I like to get 'em to 30 or less if possible.
The one thing you MUST do every time you go out is... make sure you make it back!

I get a special thrill out of having them look totaly suprised when I pull the triger..right up and in their face kinda shot...one bird died as the result of the wad hitting it...well it may have been the many pellets that the wad followed, but the wad was sticking out of what used to be it's head....in other words the closer the better...
