Recipes needed for the Spring Issue of the Magazine...
« on: December 29, 2011, 10:51:11 AM »
I am going to do a pictoral recipe for some venison for an article in the magazine. I am wanting to get 3 or 4 more to make it "What To Do With That Freezer Full of Venison".

This is NOT to replace what's coming with the cookbook, but pictoral-with-directions recipies for the spring issue is all.

So, if you think you can give me a good recipe with step-by-step directions and quality pictures to match the important steps of the cook, e-mail them to me at duane72@talkhunting.com. Inlcude your forum name (and "real" name if you want it included) as well as where you are from (State - Town too if you want). I will take the 3 or 4 best ones given to me and put them into the article. Try to get them to me by Jan 2nd and pm me to let me know you mailed them so I can make sure they come through.

Thank you! And GET COOKING!!!  ##$%#111

Steelie, I'd love to see what you have for summer sausage.  I'm just starting out on that and have a lot to learn.

I copied a recipe from my wife's grandmother's American Wife's cookbook, 1942 ed. for Roast Possum.  I suppose you could use a deer instead of a possum, but you would have to have a BIG stove.  I have not tested this recipe, nor I intend to.  LOL
