2nd rifle hunt (almost a booner!)
« on: January 28, 2012, 05:53:34 PM »
Mr. Owen killed this buck during our second rifle hunt. He had originally came out for a muzzle loader hunt and was unsuccessful. We had some room in camp and invited him back out to use his muzzle loader during rifle season. He hunted hard and never complained and the results are that of lifetimes worth of hunting. This couldn't have happened to a better guy!

Matt

P.S. look closely at the right main beam.  The g2 is gone, if it was intact this deer would have been a the second gross boone in 5 days!

Absolutely a buck of a lifetime. I know what it feels like to barely miss the book. It's a bummer but that does not compare to the satisfaction of your awesome harvest. Wow, great deer guys!

That buck is huge!  Any idea of the weight, field dressed?
