Any Western New York State Rut Observations?
« on: November 14, 2011, 11:27:21 AM »
I'll be in Mount Morris South of Rochester for the Gun Opener Nov. 19th so anybody have anything to report?  Some sites I Google say I'll miss the rut by a few days, some say I'll hit it square on, tell me what you think by what you have observed so far!

Viking, I believe your gonna hit it right on with what I'm see ing a few miles east but remember when the shoting starts, they start to go nocturnal and you have to find and jump them..the important days are the beginning couple...after that its work work and more work but fun, fun and more fun ;D

Thanks, I plan to be on stand early Saturday morning and sit probably all day Saturday and Sunday and then we'll regroup and go with the work plan after that I think!  I was afraid the rut would be over before I could get there, hopefully that's not the case.  2 days until we start the drive up there, should arrive sometime early Friday afternoon if all goes well.
