Took Thomas huntin last weekend, we saw a spike and missed. Been huntin everyday this week been seeing a few on up in the mornings, so this morning I decided to sleep in till 6 then b in the stand by 7ish so that's what I did. Got in my stand and abt 7:30-7:45 heard a deer blowing in the clear cut idk wht it was blowing at, but it was makin a racket, it finally shut up so I settled back in. I looked at my watch around 9 and was thinking it give it another hour b4 callin it a morning. About 9:30 I was just scanning the edges of the clear cut and I caught a glimpse of horn as a buck walked out so I picked up my binos and took a closer look, when I saw what deer it was I like to have had a heart attack. It was the same buck I missed 3 times last year. We've had no trail cam pics of him all summer just still hoping he's still there and o wow is he, he was nice last year at 3 1/2 but this year at 4 he's put on allot of horn

Seein as how I'm obsessed w/ deer huntin. This year I've decided to keep a detailed journal of all my huntin plans & activites, b4, during, and after deer season. Of course I'm not going to bore anyone who happens to read this to death so I'll make this journal just a quick overview. So far it goes like this ( and this is in just month blocks) feb 2012: pulled climbers, and cams. Put out hog bait,  put corn in 2 plots w/ cams, booked Iowa Hunt (zone 5, 2nd shotgun season IMB outfitters) selected ammo and scope for slug gun. Made list of things needed for season in Al, Ky, & IA. Decided to work long hitches so I can take deer season off. Feb 7- Mar 22, first long hitch of the year (43 days). March 2012- picked out scope, went to Rons helped fertilize plots and put out mineral. Checked cams.
