Too bad the wolf hide spoiled Yari. Would have been a pretty mount or rug! I think I would have had to go in a change my shorts after such a close call!  ##$%#12

i know. i have a big aggresive black bear mount that i was going to have squaring off w/ this wolf. i think it would have looked great. someday, hopefully sooner than later, i will be able to pop a couple in WI and mount them.

Yeah, the way they are populating out there I hope you get your chance sooner than later too. You guys are facing soon on a larger scale what we are dealing with coyotes.

Yari... great trophies and hunt stories.....Too bad about the hide....you mentioned a river....curiosity ?....had you been able to roll the hide and secure it in plastic.....could the water temps in the river kept it cool enough if submerged?

it's perma-frost where i was so putting it in the ground made the most sense at the time until we got temps in the 80's. up there, the rivers get pretty wild and vary quite a bit bepending on moisture. i like the idea, but i think it would have been pretty risky w/ the possible flooding. we had a lot of variation in water level just from the melting.
