« on: April 24, 2011, 08:17:33 AM »
Got done with work early on Friday so i grabbed the dipnet and did some sucker netting, Well in a hour and a half i had nineteen suckers to make homemade herring. It's one of those things that you love or just can't stand it and i love it, And it's easy to make. Canning salt, Cider and white vinegar, sugar, onions, and fish/ suckers or northerners

My grandmamma use dto take them fresh water suckers and pressure cook them until the meat fell off and then she mix the meat up with cracker meal and spices and make fish cakes. then we would line them up on cook sheets and put them in the freezer for winter time fish fry.
