Busy Back Yard!
« on: March 23, 2011, 07:35:23 PM »
OK, an Irishman can not just load a video up on the hope that a pictures says a thousand words now can I?  --7-8-9

So, to put this video in context please hang in there.

I had just finished hunting on my land and was behind my shed breasting out the nice Tom I took last 5/1/10.

There I am down on my knees working away when I lookup and see Momma bear and 4 cubs heading at me not more than 15 feet away:

What was cool is the Trail Camera got the date and time of this incursion which is helpful as I tend to be forgetful!

So, I back into my house hauling the turkey breast in my hand trying to make sure they would not slip and hit the ground.

Anyway, by the time the bears left they had already messed up some of the turkey parts. It was hot last May, so I left the tom's parts there and went back into the house and prepared the breasts, marinated them etc.

Sometime later I go back to my trail cameras and (finally to the point of the story!!) my other trail cam caught this:

Thanks for hanging in there and I hope you enjoy my video clip at the end!

Glad you liked it. My back yard is a zoo at times. Yotes, foxes, deer, turkey, squirrels, hawks, groundhogs, possum etc. It can get crowded hunting my land @--0--0118
