Hunting trips

I am interested in what everybody has planned for hunting trips this fall. What are you going to hunt, where and with what weapon?   How many out of state or country hunts have you been on?

I'm hoping to get things worked out and go back to northern missouri this year.  I've been on a lease up there that is awesome but it kinda fell apart this past season.  I'm crossing my fingers this was just a one year blunder.

Other than that I have a new lease near Vernon, TX.  I found this lease Nov.1 when my Missouri lease fell through.  I plan to hunt my Vernon lease hard.  Got some great trailcam pics of some really nice ones.  I'm building my ground blind now for bow season.  Planning on going out in a couple of weeks to get it set so the deer will get used to it.

I also have a family lease in Fannin County.  THis is a small place but we have a cabin and its great for spending time with my dad and my sons.  I spend a lot of time there each year.

I really want to go elk hunting in the mountains but I don't think that will happen this year.  I would love to sling an arrow at a big bull elk and stuff my freezer with some elk ribeyes!

This coming season I hope to beable to hunt Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky with crossbow, rifle and muzzleloader.  Oh yeah, and shotgun for turkey season.

I hope to enjoy another season on our land with my Dad and sons.  For the past two years we have gone to Ohio for that gun season opening and hunted my Uncle's farm - hope that happens again this year.

I began hunting in SC last year with a group of guys I've known for years..... I'll hunt there some this year, but last year spent way to much time there! I plan to hunt more in NC this fall, primarily on public lands. I'll make at least one trip to the middle of the state, where I've always found better success rates than here in the mountains! (Of course that depends upon PJ leaving a few deer on that end of the state!  @--0--0105) Will enjoy hunting here in the mountains as much as possible to!

I'm working on some connections in neighboring Connecticut already. I would like to get a few places to hunt lined up for this season to expand my "territory" some.

i'm hoping to draw an elk tag this year in NM or AZ. if that doesn't plan out, i will probably stay in WI and hunt. both states draw late so it would be difficult to set something else up on short notice.

Fall! why wait til fall? I am going to Pa turkey hunting in May with a shotgun-- I will probably get my Va license and hunt turkey there as well as here in Md-- Then I will go back to Pa in Aug to hunt groundhogs for a few days. Then I hunt here and Va for deer then back to Pa for a week-- I may try to get a hog hunt in with Berry Brown in Al not sure yet.

I hope to see the man sporting "both sides" of his antlers this coming year...This deer haunts my dreams, I had no clue he was on the property prior to catching him on my game camera.
