An electric squirrel cage on the bottom of that feeder would keep that coon off it.

I've got the coon problem down here as well. I wish I could figure out a good way to give them a little jolt about the time he reaches up there and grabs hold.

Lung cutter that sounds like a good idea. Maybe something hooked up to the timer batt.

Jack you need to get wire mesh around that spinner soon.  Those dang coons will damage or completely break your spinner.  I'm with you on that one FlbuckHunter, a little jolt of electricity would probably keep them clear.

Hey Chief,

Depending on the brand of feeder you have, you can buy an electric zapper or squirell cage for the bottom of your feeder that will bolt/snap right on and, yes, it works off the battery and/or solar charging system. They cost about $30. They work great for squirrels and coons and I even zapped a cow moose because she licked the dispenser on the bottom of the feeder. I had it on a trail cam...if I can dig it up I'll post it. The zappers don't seem to affect the bears much though.  ::) ;D ;)
