Sunday Devotional 11-21-10: GODS CREATION
« on: November 21, 2010, 07:36:37 AM »
Genesis 1:31

God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

I think of all the things I have observed while I was out and about in God's wonderful  creation so far in my life. From the smallest to the greatest things I have always been in awe. I have always loved the outdoors and been fascinated by the creatures, the plants and even the weather that God has made.

I think it takes a special kind of fool, to look at the things of nature and say God did not create it. There is just too much evidence of a grand plan and design in nature. If you have ever been scuba diving and saw the creatures of the sea face to face in their world, God would become self evident. Pursuing the elusive Whitetail deer the majestic Elk and the other creatures of Gods kingdom gives you an understanding and respect of how perfect  God's design  was.

The other part of God's creation is our fellow man. I must confess on many occasion I have failed to appreciate the hand of God in the creation of other human beings. I have struggled  mightily at times to love certain neighbors as God has commanded us. I find myself as I get older seeking more solitude and less dealings with my fellow man. Why; because it is easier, if I do not rub up against my fellow man, my own weaknesses bigotry and imperfections are not near as evident. It is very hard at times, to find God in another human, who is very unloving or just plain mean to us. Yet love them we must.

If you love God you must love His creation. Our fellow man is His creation so to be true to God we must love them. The next time you are tempted to curse your fellow man or think ill of them or  pass judgment upon them remember they were made by the same God you were, and God expects you to find Him in your fellow man even when the circumstances are very ugly.

Only through finding Jesus and seeking His face have I been able to see the good in my fellow man and even myself. If you do not know Jesus I encourage you to ask Him in your life today through confession  of sin and acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior.

God Bless All:

Thanks brother!
As I head into this new adventure in Illinois, I will surely gaze upon the wondrous things that God has made. I think God's Creation is so evident when you look at it from a deer stand and listen as the world awakens or goes to bed. It is spectacular.

As for the fellow man, God has blessed me through the years. While it is true that I have met some HATEFUL people, I end up feeling sorry for them. I always surprise my students because I find at least one positive thing to say about each and every one of them (even the bad ones). You are right though, it takes the love of God to be able to do that.

Thanks again and have a blessed day!
