I was on my way to the 2010 Talk Hunting Southern Anniversary Party (SAP). It had seemed like a long time off but it was suddenly upon me and I was in the car and heading South.

As my mind got to wondering with the miles going by,I couldn't help but think back about the First SAP get together. It didn't seem like it had been that long ago,but I quickly remembered how an 8 hr trip to Alabama turned into a nightmare 16 hr trip. I quickly flushed that from my mind with a brief shudder of disgust and started focusing on the trip at hand.

I was looking forward to this trip in particular due to meeting up with some old friends like Bubba Brown,Cookin, and Cobrican whom I hadn't seen since the First Talk Hunting Camp Out. Some of the other members along with HM like bugfixer,possum,Thwack,BOGO,Fellis27,swgahunter,tncowboy,tncowgirl had kept in touch at various get togethers.

This trip also was going to be the first time I met some members I had never met. Members like Puddle Jumper,flbuckhunter,Nock1,Nockanother1,PearlsAndCamo aka FatPine, gunseller and I am sure many more I missed.

The miles wound down and my trip was getting close to the end. I was ready for some R & R and Good Friends. As I turned into the drive of the West Fork Hunting Club a sense of coming home came across me.This was the second time for me to come to the WFHC and the memories were Great. I turned the last corner of the drive and immediately I seen smiling faces of old friends as they approached the car. There is never an awkward moment with Talk Hunting Members when they meet again or meet for the first time. Hand shakes, hugs and hello's are taken care of in seconds. What a Feeling.

We had some nice catch up conversations and settled in for a comfortable laid back evening of R & R with anticipation of everyone coming in tomorrow (Friday). The sleep was well deserved and refreshed us all for the chores ahead of us.We started out with a light breakfast that Bubba had prepared for us.Home cooking indeed.

BubbaBrown:
Thanks for the pics and the commentary, I still haven't gotten my camera back from my son. Between you and Nock1, I'm starting to build a new album.

tncowgirl:
It is more like a family reunion. From the first moment it is like you have known everyone all your life. I have made life long friends. Thank you for such a great time. I am looking to see everyone in KY next year.

sundowner:
