wind vane at club sign in spot
« on: September 22, 2008, 10:23:57 PM »
With all the talk of wind direction, what type of wind vane or indicator does any one use at their place of hunting? I've got a home made wooden duck with movable wings (wind movement) mounted on a pipe high above ground level at our sign in box/map location.  I also use dental floss, tied on the front of my rifle for my on person indicator. What does every one else use?

We use a piece of orange surveyors tape tied to a pole at the house and then I use the bottle with powder that I take with me in my pack to the woods.
Hunting, I am not obsessed I am possessed.

I keep a spray bottle of doe pee in my pocket and spray it in the air to check wind direction going to and after I'm in the stand.
