Bucks Resting in the Front Yard
« on: June 17, 2010, 12:47:41 AM »
Walked out the front door this evening about 6:00 and these guys were bedded in the front yard. Man I love this time of year. You can't really tell from the pics but I got a pretty good luck at them, 3 0f the 4 are already sporting 8 points, the other has a fork on one side and a spike on the other. It is amazing to me how differently they act this time of year as opposed to during season. I dare em to stand their like that come hunting seasaon

Hopefully they will hang for another month and a half. State of Florida just changed my zones season this year to start July 31st. Hopefully will be able to get one still in Velvet. I have shot a couple of velvet bucks in South Carolina with my rifle but hopefully I will be able to get one with the bow this year in Florida.  %^$^  ##$%#1114

Hey are you a low fence preserve? --099-780 You got a couple in there to keep an eye on. They definitely know when it is time for people to be shooting at them.

It's like they tease us when the season is not in.  Interesting how your horn development is so far of ahead of us here in VA or I'll bet even farther north.  Thanks for making me drool!
