Preturkey Season Calling
« on: June 06, 2010, 12:13:14 PM »
Prior to turkey season I like to practice my calling but don't want to practice where I'll be hunting and risk educating them turkeys more than what they already are so I go down into a county park not too far from where I live, that's closed to hunting, and I try to talk to some birds there.  I bring my calls and camera hoping to get some decent pictures.  Here are some of the better pics I've gotten so far.

That is a great idea. I live about 2 miles from a state park that is loaded with turkeys. I wonder if they would allow me to do that. I will have to check into that. Thanks for the tip.

the photo with the two toms strutting is awesome!  I would just love to see something like that when I'm out hunting.
