Hey all TH friends ........just a reminder!

If you are in the woods, checking licks, food plots, game cameras, etc., be extremely aware.
The nights are warm....the days are even more.

You might just run into one of these!! --7-8-9

That's a great reminder. I've seen two large king snakes on our lease this year but no rattlesnakes yet,but their out there. I wear snake boots and pay close attention where I place my hands and feet. Yawl have a safe summer!!!  ##$%#112

Yep.... One reason I do 90% of my scouting 3-4 weeks after the Deer season ends in Alabama...
If I have to go through the Woods my Snake proof Boots and Chaps are on me...

I've killed one rattlesnake this year already and yesterday I killed a cottonmouth.  It's amazing that as kids we used to run through the woods like a bunch of wild indians all summer long, now I am careful where I put my feet!

They are definately out and crawling. Have seen them here in Florida and killed a good sized rattler this weekend up in South Carolina. 13 rattles. Yuck. Have I mentioned I hate snakes.

Thankfully I don't have any of those where I hunt or anywhere near where I hunt.

Shot a pigmy rattler a few days ago in the yard right under the kids swing set. My son was out there running around in the yard and I was grilling some pork chops on the bbq when I saw him just freeze right in his tracks and started backing up. He luckily saw it before it was to late. He is no longer crawling amongst us.
