Another South Carolina Buck
« on: September 17, 2008, 11:01:29 PM »
Just got back from South Carolina after being up there since Sunday. I was blessed again with another nice South Carolina 8 point. Did not see as many deer as we did opening weekend but am really excited about all of the little bucks running around. Saw a bunch of them. This one stepped out into the wrong bean field Tuesday evening about 6:25. He stepped out about 45 yards away and I really had to do a double take because I couldn't believe my eyes. First I did not expect it that early and secondly didn't think he would be coming out of where he did. He was a three and a half year old and weighed 170 pounds which is pretty good size for where we hunt.

Great deer. Now when you say he weighed 170 is that on the hoof or field dressed?

Thanks guys, I appreciate all of the kind words. Fellis that is on the hoof which is pretty good deer for where we hunt. We have killed a few bigger body wise but this is pretty good.
