JB SALTER JIGGING POLE
« on: April 24, 2010, 07:24:29 PM »
Has anyone ever heard of a JB Salters jigging pole? If not then you really need to get yourself one. I am pretty sure that this pole is rather popular but it can not be bought in any store. A old man in Erwinville, Louisiana makes these at his house and you will never find a jigging pole that will come close. I just want to see if anyone else has ever heard of this pole before.

Not heard of a JB Salter Jigger Pole but I have been using the same 16' and 18' Fiberglass Jigger poles for 40+ Years not sure of the brand name of them...
My Brother caught 9 nice Bass this morning before the storm ran him back to his house of Lay Lake using a Jigger Pole...

Mr JB sells his rods locally now, but he used to have them as far out as Mississippi at one time, They are not like anyother but they sure work better than any other jigging pole combo that you can buy at any store. They also come with a free lesson and he will tell you where to fish and how to fish, and with what bait. I do not believe there is anyone who knows more about sac-a-lait than this old man. He makes sure that you catch fish so he can get you coming back to him to buy stuff. he also sells custom baits and other gadgets.

I've had several of JB's pole and even bought them to give as presents. He use to hand make them, but was having them made in China to his specs for a while, I don't know what he is doing now, but they are good poles.

Mr jb is not doing so well anymore from what i am told from a close friend of his. He still makes the poles for you but the production is slow, he is not fishing anymore due to his health, i pray he does fine and pulls through this tough time. But yes the poles are very popular and thats because of how well they work, i will not leave the house with out one if i am going sac-a-lait fishing
