I've never found one, but my Dad has a few out in his shed, the biggest has 5 tines on it, but Dad said it was a 2 y/o shed and the mice had found it and chewed it down really bad. So it could have had 6pts! We have looked a bunch of times but never found the otherside guess the mice took care of it!

Biggest I have found was one side of a nice 4 point double eye guard Bull Elk. I hope to find a full set one of these days.

This is the coolest shed I have found.  Double main beam shed and I never saw that buck or heard of anyone that harvested a double main beam buck in the area.  The deep cuts on it are from hitting it w/ my hay cutter.

6 point left side scoring 70 points total in a picked corn field.  looked at least 6 more times for the other side but never found it.

I have a 5 pt shed that measures 24" from base to tip.  Brow tine is about 4-1/2", G2 considerably longer.  I found it at a friend's garage sale, about 40 yrs ago.   rotf  Really, I did.  I have only found 3 other sheds, spikes up to a 3 pt.

I've found some big quads.  One way to collect sheds is to build a feeder that has some chicken wire a couple feet over the feed tray so it catches the antlers as they feed. I've heard this is pretty successful and that they don't get tangled in the chicken wire.  Apparently it's just enough to knock the antlers off when they get loose.

Biggest one I've ever found was a 5 point side with a kicker on the G-2,  Scored somewhere inbetween 60- 70.

The biggest whitetail shed was 4 points. But the largest shed that I ever found was a moose paddle in Canada while I  was bear hunting.

I found a big heavy beam 5pt.  A few days later my friend found the other side.  It truly was a great find for our area.

This is my biggest and first shed ever found. Picked up 5 years ago on Christmas Eve. I think it scored just under 60 inches.

« Reply #13 on: May 11, 2010, 09:36:28 AM »

I found a huge six point shead. I only have one side a begal hound that belong to the farmer that owned the land grabed the other one and took off. I tried to catch him but I could nt. So I settled for one side. It has lots of mass and 6 inch bases. I went to the farmers house and he wanted to keep that side so I did not argue after finding that the last thing I wanted to do Is not get to hunt their. I will try and post a pic of it.
