Got to see some TH members over the weekend
« on: March 08, 2010, 10:59:24 AM »
Myself and a friend of mine headed to South Alabama this past weekend to look at some Turkey Hunting land. First I met up with the famous Twack on the way down to do some gun traden at the Wal-Mart parking lot and talked with him for a while. That Boy has some stories!! Then Jumped back in the truck drove for about 3 1/2 more hours and met up with the one and only Kraqr. We had a fun filled day with him. We pulled out some tree stands and he tried to get me killed on a four wheeler  ##$%#114 not really but close, then we done a little scouting for turkeys. Then I got hung up in some quick sand and well........Kraqur laughed then helped. But at least I did not loose my boots. We had a blast! What a great guy!! He has been busy movin by himself and still took time away to meet up with me to do a little scouting. I have met them both in the past but it sure was great seeing them again. I really enjoy meeting up with the TH family. its never a dull moment!

It is always great to meet new members, and put a face to a name, or in some cases you are putting a username to a real name to a face. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun.

Just dont ask BOGO which way you came into the woods? He may just lead you off a cliff.  It was all a good time,   we found some good turkey hunting spots and some unreal deer signs.  Maybe BOGO still has that picture of that rub on the tree.  We made a day of it from wading through the swamp to finding half eaten critters.    As far as the 4 wheeler part I have no clue what he is talking about. Down here in south alabama we dont have brakes on nuttin.

Now, if only we are successful at bringing in a TOM, it will be like icing on the cake.

Next time I wont try to cut my finger off by trying to carry a tree stand on an ATV up hills.

I've been to 3 TH events Cohosted 2 of them, and each one was a blast! My latest TH excursion was to WKY place where I met WKY himself! WVwhitetail(finally) Gutshot, radar, chainman, and Bcotton. I also got hang out with DLR whom I met at the eastern anniversary party and had been looking foerward to crossing paths with him again. Beagle Pup and I became close friends while planning the EAstern anniversary party with some assistance from PuddleJumper..and now BP and i talk atleast once a week Pm alot more than that, and even got together and did a bunny hunt together at which Mac0823 (another buddy from the EAP) showed up! I'm bummed that I can't make the campout! But looking foreward to the next time I catch up with old or new TH friends!
