Cheap deer attractant recipe

4 cups of corn. 2 cups oatmeal. 2 cups of water or apple juice. And 1 bottle of dark Karo syrup. put in a plastic container and mix. What an aroma. It really attracts deer on a budget.

My buddy hunted one of my stands and had put out a jar of Jiffy... Never saw another deer until I found that jar and got rid of it !!

they say vanilla extract work great too never tryed it but it sure does smell good. :D

Here's a picture of our salt lick, refreshed this year with Arm and Hammer Washing Soda(not baking soda, it's in the laundry section of the grocery store). It's less than 3 dollars a box, and we put 2 boxes in this year. As a comparison, I put out 2 bags of Rack Up from Evolved Habitats, no comparison, they are hammering the Arm and Hammer.

Depends on the smells they are used to.  Down our way peanuts are grown and the deer know the smell.  Just like sweet potatoes, my area they know them, but my hunting club 70 mile away nothing happens.  Takes the first one to try and then they learn.   --9-8-7
