I use Dave Smith decoys but they are expensive 130.00 each for hens so aI use only one-- They look real- They are hard plastic so they are a challenge to transport but they work.

I like the Primos B Mobile and She Mobile.  Very easy to pack up and they look pretty good.  I know a few people that have used them successfully but I haven't gotten a turkey close enough to see mine yet so I couldn't tell you from experience!  I will get one this year!!!  My third year of deer hunting was the best so far and I think it is going to hold true for my third upcoming turkey season as well!!!

I use a full mounted gobbler, the real thing! Also have a Dave Smith. GREAT item buy costly. They do have a new series, softer a bit easier to carry? But with that said, I still use them cheep foam ones when running and gunning. My thought, by the time they know it's not real...BANG, I'm carrying him out!

i was just curious which brand is the best for decoys the one's ive tried seem to be cheap quality they do not hold form very well any suggestions on what brand to use would be helpful
fill the heads and neck with newspaper and blow up a cheap ballon and stick inside the body cavity, just pop the balloon when you are ready to put it up .(quietly if possible lol)If a gobbler gets close enough to attack it ,he'll get the scare of his life.

Now that is some great advice!  I've tried the newspaper but the balloon is genius.

The best decoys I have hunted over are the pretty boy and pretty girl dekes. They wasn't mine but boy do they look good.

After a few years of hunting, I assure you that you will have some of all of them. I like the foam ones if I'm doing a lot of traveling on foot as they pack flat and don't take up much space and are light which leaves me more room for rain gear. If I'm planning on doing a bit less traveling and a bit more sitting, I like the heavier plastic ones as they appear a bit more real. Then, when I know exactly where I'm gong to be sitting I will take Pretty Boy w/a real tail fan. But, with all that said, I don't always use a decoy. As a matter of fact, I won't use one about half the time.

I'll only use a decoy 10-20% of the time, but when I do I use the Feather Flex decoys.  I'll usually carry a jake and a hen.  I use one of the jakes with the really red head and I've been know to take some black nylon rope strands (unwoven of course) and give him a longer beard so he looks like abigger tom that's just following behind the hen and not in strut.
