mine around 50 yards but i was hunting with a buddy when i first started around 15 years ago we was set up on a field edge the turkeys made a big loop and was along way we called and they came in to about 80 yards 2 gobblers and 5 or 6 hens the hens started going straight away from us my buddy said im going to try and take the closest tom he shot and the bird folded up like he'd been run over by a tank we stepped off 88 steps big steps i couldn't believe it so i stepped it off again he was shooting a old 835 3 1/2 magums fedrals number 5 shot i think to this day one shot hit him in the head lucky shot. -0078                     @--0--0109

That would be on my first bird. It was at 60 yards and I was using a 12gauge Mossburg with 6 shot. It was a buddy of mine I was actually filming and a big group of Jakes walked up and he slipped me the gun. We doubled on that hunt, It was AWESOME.The next day I was with him and he shot one at 68 yards in the same field.

I never had to shoot long, called them into 10 to 25 yards. 12 GA. 2 3/4 Remington nitro mag. You get a box of 25 for the some price as a box of 10 that say turkey load that do the same job. -0078                @--0--0109
