i can't believe it
« on: August 24, 2008, 09:21:03 PM »
so i go check the cameras today and even with fay coming through i had high hopes - well - one camera is on the fritz - 1 camera has nothing but moving weeds on it from the wind ---a new location i was trying out and threw it out quick without trimming --- and the other old faithful as i like to call her - does me right and gets a series of about 8 pics of a doe hitting the mineral lick - then i travel over to the neighbors place to check the cam i put out for him last week - and the door is wide open on it -  :-X - i expect to find a fried camera from the rain - but it is working - yippee - i check the pics and can't believe my eyes a monster 8 or 10 pointer - he is out about 30 feet in the rain and can't really tell how many points he has - one picture as he is walking by to go feed in the i/c and soybean plot - so i get back to the house and put the card in and check it out - it is just as nice as i thought he was - i go to hit the enter key to bring it up in photoshop to do some level adjustment to see just how big he is and hit the delete key by mistake and poof - it is gone - i have a attached a pic of what i think was him from last year

I feel your pain just got my camera disk in from the last 2 weeks and had all the pix gone before I could view them. Something wrong with the disk and I had to reformat it.

What a bummer! I think it might be a good idea in the future to copy and save before messing with your pics. :(

If that is a pic of him last year it looks like he would be a Dandy this year!

he was - i took the card and put it in my neighbors tv - and looked at him on there first - even though the picture was dark he looked to be about 200lbs and around a 17-20" inside - a natural beast - i'll be going back thursday or friday to check them again - :fingers crossed:
