That may be the problem. This is the first IR camera I have ever fooled with so I am not 100% up to date on all that technology. I can say that I love the fact there is no flash. The deer have no idea that the camera is even there.

Because of the low light the camera is still in night mode so it only takes a black and white image. If there was more light, like if the deer and camera were in an opening, it would have been a colour picture. This is a common problem with the moultries. For the money I like mine so much I can live with it though, but I wish Moultrie would fix this problem. I like that there is no "flash" also, BUT the deer can definitely see the LED's glowing. If you go out at night and stand in front of it you will see it glows like toaster (not orange, but red). If you put it on video you will probably see deer reacting to it. It's better than a sudden bright white flash, but it still makes me nervous that I am alerting the deer. Especially when their testosterone levels go up and they are not as easy going as they are in velvet. I'm hoping the camera manufacturers will finally start coming out with "black flash" models that have no visible light when you are looking right at them so the deer truly have no idea they are on camera.
