Birthday turkey
« on: October 15, 2009, 03:25:20 PM »
Went out turkey hunting this morning with wolfie1.  It was a beautiful day to be outdoors.  Better yet that it is my birthday.  While I was out there, I saw 10 nice deer and 2 coyotes going out to hunt and later returning from their hunt.  I also shot a nice Merriams hen turkey.  What a great birthday.  Here are some pics of me with my turkey.  Notice the camo and how well it blends in with the rocks.  We use Army digital camo ACU's.
Ethical hunting isn't just about perfect shot placement.  It's also the knowledge that you are an ethical hunter and a true sportsman.  Enjoy the hunt and the experience, whether you shoot something or not.   Live every day as if it's your last.
There's a reason it's called hunting, not shopping

nice turkey and happy bday...too bad that camo does not blend very well in the desert though!!!  urban fighting it's ok but sand and gray and blue do not mix very well...I'm glad it worked out for you though!!!
