2009 video bucks
« on: September 24, 2009, 12:58:59 AM »
Here is a few of the bucks our team has gotten down on video so far this year, all of these deer were taken in NJ on video.

Now i have a question, mostly all video companies keep the bucks they kill top secret until they release the video, They may throw up a quick story on their website but never a picture. The thought behind this is that more people would buy the DVD to see what they have killed. so my question is, if you see pics of every deer we have on our dvd would that cause you not to buy the dvd? I think it would not matter and most people seem to appreciate and enjoy the pics. Please give me your feedback on this

I agree looking at the pic just makes me wonder about the hunt and the story behind it. So no seeing a pic woulkd not keep me from buying a DVD if anything it would make me more likely to buy it. @--0--0101 @--0--0133

It wouldn't keep me from buying, but I know alot of people that have quit watching many hunting shows because they show a few seconds of next weeks harvest at the end of the program.  I have heard them say, "Why watch, I already now what they have"  I really don't like it either, but I still watch them.  It is like the front cover of a book telling you the ending.

I have said that a many of times with any TV show. They show you highlights at the beginning and then I am wondering do I really need to watch it now or watch something I haven't seen.

I agree, the pics are simply like a teaser.   I want to see how it was harvested.

It wouldn't stop me from buying.  Some of the more popular DVD's actually have the better bucks on their cover.

ditto on buying here,

what i would like the most are these kills carefully thought out with terrain features, travel routes, wind direction, and why you picked that tree etc., not just because it holds the camera man and you.  thanks

Pictures wouldn't keep me from getting the DVD, like it was said earlier, it just a teaser. I want the story and what led up to the harvest.

I don't what to know where you are, I want to know how you got there! The more reality in what you show me, the more I like it. This is my 50th year of hunting the ghost. I have killed many deer and there's a story behind each deer. It's always been the whole story that is great, not just the climax!
