In South Dakota, it's either in fall, any bearded in spring

No, you can't knowingly shoot bearded hens in Alabama during any season. We have very few counties that do have a fall season.

Just goes to show that I don't stray far from home. I had no idea so many states allowed you to harvest a hen.

I was lucky enough to harvest one about 4 yrs ago had 6in beard. only seen 3 in my life.

Legal here as already mantioned.  Bearded hens are more common than many folks think, at least round here.  I've never shot on in the spring and not sure if I would.  In the fall, any good sized bird gets it.   -0078

In Md any bird that has a beard is legal in the spring-- Fall season doesn't exist in most of the state - what a shame only 3 counties have a fall season- good news is if you don't kill a turkey in the fall you can shoot 2 gobblers in the spring.

No in MS, The regulation regarding legal turkeys states that adult GOBBLERS, or GOBBLERS with a 6" or longer beard are legal for harvest.
