If you look real close at the enhanced picture, you can see that the bird has both feet clasped around the tree.  he is not standing on the ground, but on the trunk of the tree.  I've never seen a turkey do that.  (not that they won't)  How close is that tree to the camera?  It sure is an odd looking bird at an odd looking position.  could it a vampire turkey?
