Last year I decided to try Federal Fusions and shot two deer. Both were quartering away and I shot them behind the shoulder, one at 150 and one at 250 yards. Both deer never even kicked but simply collapsed. Thats performance. When the 3006 barks deer fall down.

I've always used the Remington Corelock..with all 3 calibers I shoot and found success. Last year, a sales person at Dicks got me to try the Powerpoints.... knocks em down, thats for sure, but leaves a gaping hole in the going away from side. May be good for a bear..but just rips a deer apart

This is a very broad question because not all loads work well in all guns if it works for you keep doing it.

I've loaded up some 150 gr. Hornady SST's. Hope the things I've heard about them are right cause they sure are accurate. Nosler has all but priced me out of their BT's.

I reload so I use many bullets. But the one that always work for me no matter what is the Nosler partion. Second is Hornadays -0078 --09--0

For 10 years now, I've used Federal Hi Energy 30-06 with 180 Nosler Partitions. Bear, muleys, and whitetails have fallen to this load for me. So add one to the Partition total, I love 'em.

I have been using the Federal Premium 130 grain ballistic tip bullet for many years now. I shoot a .270 calibur rifle. I have been teased by many of my buddys because the bullet has a yellow tip. They call it the fairy bullet but let me tell you one thing.........that fairy will do the trick.

-
I've used nothing but Remington Premier Core Lokts in my 30 06. 180 grain. Drops 'em in their tracks.

3006 180 grain Remington corelocks- Great knock down power.I once shot a big buck in the hind quarter, it busted his hip.

Ummm i would think any bullet that hits where u point!!..... Nosler is good
-
technically any copper and brass jacketed bonded soft point boattail bullet is going to be very accurate and have good weight retention. That being said for factory loads not much better than remingtons corelokt bullets, but the hornady light magnums with their interbond bullets are a close second.

My shooting buddy loaded up some Barns X bullets (140 gr) with a Ballistic tip for my 7mm08. In this caliber with the same bullet it went completely through and Elk bull. I have this gun set up to shoot 3/4 groups at 100 yds. I also like my 22-250
I am a new member from GA. I shoot NRA sanction long distant events with my 308 ( 600 and 1000 yds) I bow hunt until it gets to cold and I am a avid fisherman that like to flats fish in salt water with a fly rod --09--0

4 me hands down hornaday sst in 12 ga or 20 ga both are worth their weight in gold. i sight in @ 50 yards and its good to 100 125 yards.
Its nice not having to think about yardage just put it on em and let it go.
@ 25 yards it hits 3/4 of an inch high no big deal.
and they are devastating on deer 2 deer 50-70 yards out both never made it past 50 yards easy tracking.
Aim small miss small.
God bless our troops

mine are a remington in a yellow and green box - for a .280 - i think they are core lokt but not sure -

My favorite for Deer Hunting is my 7mm08 Winchester 140 Grain Ballistic Silvertip, Every deer I have ever shot with this round has went down right where I shot it! The key I think, Is to shoot them in the shoulder, not behind the shoulder!

Last year I switched from Rem Corelock to the FUSION. I am sold on Fusion. 270/130 grain dropped all 6 deer in their tracks.
