Title: Early Bird gets the...hunt?
Post by: [Blocked] on December 30, 2009, 12:09:33 AM
As 2009 comes to a close, I've already begun filling out various applications for my 2010 season. -0078

It'll be a bit less than 2009 because momma wants new kitchen cabinets(they're 30 yrs old), and quite frankly, she's a better pistol shot than me. --09--0

I'll apply for elk hunts in CA and AZ and probably do 2 A-zone bucks again. Maybe squeeze in a coupla quail and dove hunts. Other than that, I don't think I can do much more without coming down with lead poisoning. --7-8-9

What's your 2010 dream season?  @--0--0101

Best Regards

Like I've said here before, there are only two seasons, deer season and getting ready for deer season.

Amen ...... This year I have big dreams of getting my food plots dramatically expanded.....got some help lined up already for my KS farm; hoping a local farmer is going to help on the MO side.  Can't wait for that early season Sept muzzleloader season!

My dream season would be to fill both spring and fall turkey tags, do more deer hunting (hopefully get down to south Texas), get out more during the early, regular, and late goose seasons, and plant a food plot.  (Not necessarily in that order  ;D)

My 2010 Dream season can start right now. I'm still hunting hard for a Monster that is eluding me for the TH Deer championship. BUT, I got to keep my hopes up as my neighbor called me today to let me know he spotted him yesterday at my fence. SO, he is still alive....

For the rest of the dream, I hope to limit out (4) turkeys in the first week of season and then go into deer season on cloud 9. Up until the past two season I have limited out (3) birds in three hunting days. TN changed their limit a few years ago from 3 to 4 birds. The past two seasons it has taken me the entire season to get the job done.

I have booked a KS hunt for the end of the deer season and have big aspirations of killing a 140 to 160 class buck.

Good luck to all my TH friends in realizing their hunting dream. And then share them with me to keep me picked up.lol
